Many analytics programmes stop at visualisation. The more important design problem is which decisions should change, how often, and who is accountable for acting.

When metrics have owners, definitions and a meeting rhythm, a dashboard becomes an operating tool. Without those, it is decoration.

The shift from reporting to decision support is organisational as much as technical.
